Efficient Gas Fires & Stoves

If gas is your preferred method for heating, the main element to look for in your gas fire is a closed combustion. As with our wood burning fires efficiency is one of our key interests as well as aesthetics and there is no doubt that our gas fires hold both of these qualities.

Open gas combustion systems ie: basket fires work very much like the open wood burning fires in that they consume the air from the room and then most of the actual heat created travels up the chimney and out of your home. Radiated heat from these open units is very low as is the efficiency level of the fire making the gas consumption high whilst the heat received is low, hence we do not stock them.

GAS FIRE FREE STANDING STOVES

For the many customers without fireplaces we stock the very versatile Free Standing Gas Stove offering top or rear flue connection or directly through the wall so piping is “invisible” , high radiation levels & double convection to increase efficiency. Soap stone casings which have the ability to store enormous quantities of heat and then release it very slowly are also available for many of these products. Lots of position possibilities & choice for these beautiful stoves.

GAS FIRE INSERTS

Modify your inefficient open fireplace or gas basket with a Gas Fire Insert. Designed to fit into many different sized openings often with out any alterations having to be made at all. These inserts have a sealed frontage and offer excellent radiation ability and natural convections ensuring that the heat you are paying for comes into your home and is not lost up the chimney! There are also convection fan systems in these fires which serve to increase efficiency yet again. Attractive & clean and available in manual or remote control.

BUILT IN GAS FIRES WITH BALANCED FLUE

If a traditional fireplace is preferred but no chimney is available our range of Built in Gas fires could fit the requirement. These extremely stylish fires have beautiful “natural flame effect “ and use balanced flues which need no chimney they obtain the air needed for gas combustion through a supply/outlet system. Air for burning enters through the outer pipe and the combustion gases are expelled via the inner pipe. A large option of choice ranging from modern to classic style using various framing is available. These quality products are designed with legs so unit height can be adjusted and then the choice of surround can then be built encasing the unit. All models have natural convection plus optional fan system for increased efficiency.
